My boys love stuffed animals like Webkinz, Shining
Stars, Beanie
Babies and going to
The Build A Bear Workshop. I almost never buy them
any but they always ask for them. I really don't need to
buy them anyway because pretty much every time my mother in-law comes
over she brings them the newest stuffed animal. It used to
drive my wife nuts and she would secretly throw some of the old ones
away. Then one day my wife mentioned this Boon Animal bag she saw
online and it was an obvious solution. We actually had to
buy a Boon Trio Animal Bag in order to find a place to put part of
their herd of stuffed animals. Boon makes some smaller Animal Bags too.
But if your kids make more room in their bed for their animals than for
themselves, multiple bags or the Trio might be a good idea. We had
ours a few years and it has started to rip at a seem. I contacted
Boon and they were very happy to help. It is pretty rare nowadays to
find a company that stands behind their products like Boon. It is
definitely a great way to clear up some clutter and add a fun chair to
your boys room.
Pop-Up Books
For
the past 2 years or so my boys have fallen in love with pop-up books. I
had a few pop-up books when I was a boy but they were simple and rather
lifeless. Today pop-up books by Robert Sabuda and Mathew Reinhart are
amazing. They create multi-level castle floors and make dinosaurs
practically leap off the page. The books are well engineered and filled
with great stories and information. Robert and Mathew put a ton of
detail into every book. The books are very colorful and practically
everything in the books come to life in a third dimension. When my boys
get a new one they usually look at it almost everyday for a few weeks.
They haven't looked at them lately but they do ask me to read them once
in a while and I sometimes find them just looking at the pictures.
