The Best Toys For
Boys
Rocket
Balloon with Pump

Liam
got these for his 8th birthday and everyone at the party was having a
ton of fun with them. We got a few stuck in trees and they seem pretty
sensitive to popping. But they were a blast. They come with a hand pump
and lots of extra balloons. They go pretty high and all over the place
making a kind of loud whoopie cushion like sound. They have played with
them a few times after the party and are enjoying them a lot.
Trac-Ball

I
always loved this as a boy and my sons have a lot of fun playing it
too.
It is hard for my 5 year old to catch the ball so he sometimes gets
frustrated. I try my best to throw the ball into his racket but it
doesn’t always go well. Wind can easily effect the ball. My oldest son
Liam who is 7 has a great time
with it.
Monster
Tetherball Set

The monster outdoor toys are pretty cool. Bigger
is better right. My
boys love playing with the tetherball set. It sways a little but it is
loads of fun. It is soft on the hands and knuckles for younger players.
It is set up in our backyard all year and the boys and I always play it.
Grow-to-Pro
Basketball

A great kids basketball net. Can easily adjust the
height from 3 to 6
feet. It is pretty sturdy. I filled ours with sand but water should
work too. It has a ball return. So a little less chasing after the ball
is always a good thing.
Sky
Blaster Shuttle

This is like a paper airplane but better. It is
faster more durable and
already put together. My boys love it. It works like shooting a rubber
band but has a toy rocket attached. A cheap durable toy that provides
hours of fun. We play catch back and forth with it shooting it up in
the air towards each other. The boys enjoy seeing how high they can
make it go.
Squirt
Gun

What boy doesn’t love an opportunity to squirt
someone with
water. I have bought super soakers when I was a kid and they would
probably last 2 years tops. It still seems to be the same way. They
provide the most water but the pump reservoir eventually stops working.
We got one set of regular pump ones and they stopped working after a
year. I actually bought the Vaporizer
at the same time and it has lasted a little more than 2 years and still
works great. The smaller pump ones are easier for younger kids but
don't expect it to last more than 2 years. The Vaporizer takes more
strength so Jakob my 5 year old had a little trouble when he was 4 but
can do it now. Their next squirt guns will definitely be the Buzz
Bee Toys Tarantula . It is
battery powered so no pumping involved and looks pretty easy to use.
Koosh
Ball

My boys love playing catch with a koosh ball. I
actually have a paddle
ball game from when I was little that uses a Koosh Ball. My boys love
it but unfortunately I can’t find a place anywhere to suggest for you
to get it. But the balls are still a lot of fun by themselves. They are
very easy for my boys to catch even when they were three.
Radio
Flyer Discovery Wagon

We don’t use it much now. But when my
boys were younger it was a great way to take both of them for a walk.
We never had a double stroller because of the age difference. But when
we went on longer walks my oldest would want to sit too. Probably
useful for a year and a half to about 4. It was a complete lifesaver
for Halloween. After all they had to get enough candy for me too. It
has a compartment on the bottom the boys loved to put toys in. It is
made of very durable plastic so we always left it outside and it could
easily be wiped clean. Every boy needs a red wagon and this one is
built to last.
